Once again, I had the opportunity to perform a demo at Chicago's Taste of Chicago on the Lifeway Demo Stage. This year I was challenged to create a food and drink paring using Lifeway products. This was right up my alley because Lifeway is a great local company and using local ingredients is one of the things that is really important to me. So I set out to create a stunning pairing that used as much local ingredients as I could.
I called on lots of great friends that I have met along this culinary journey, and even met some new ones. I sourced my basil and arugula from Gotham Greens which has a 75,000 square foot green house in Chicago's Pullman neighborhood.
